TWRC welcomes participation from Boy or Girl Scouts (or other organizations) interested in serving the community by helping wildlife. Scouts who would like to perform project work for TWRC are not required to attend the volunteer orientation sessions. However, project selection and scheduling must be coordinated with the TWRC Scout Liaison.

Typical scout service projects include building bird or mammal cages, constructing nesting boxes for recovering wildlife, or making educational presentations for school or other scout groups.

Scouts are our best collectors of items the Center needs. Please see the Wish List below for items we need or call the Center and talk with one of the volunteers.

These young ladies participated in special tasks to aid TWRC's Baby Bird Program working towards their Silver Award. They chopped apples, blended baby bird formula, washed dishes, and grated carrorts.

Not only were these ladies a joy to work with, they accomplished a lot of work within their 4 hours of service at TWRC.
